Scott and Taylor booked me to be their wedding photographer all the way back in 2019. I was their first vendor for their April 2020 wedding and they were my first official wedding under my original wedding business. It was an honor to be considered, let alone booked for their event and I am so excited to celebrate with them!
Fast forward to March of 2020, things were beginning to shut down and S+T were faced with the difficult decision of postponing their wedding date altogether. After some back and forth, they decided it was best to push their planned date back with a new wedding date to be determined and they let go of the idea of their dream of a large wedding in the course of a few days. They didn’t know if their vendors would hold onto their existing contracts or be available once, or if the time came.
April 25th, 2020, Taylor and Scott eloped on a gorgeous hillside with their closest family and friends. The love that these two have for one another is tangible and they decided to tie the knot regardless of if their big ceremony and reception got placed on hold.
I got a call from Taylor again during the tail end of 2020 and they had decided to push their date all the way to 2022! I was not sure what the future held for me. I actually ended up getting married and moving to Southern California before they even had their wedding, and so much had changed for me and I had even placed my photography career on hold with so much unknown in the event industry revolving the pandemic. (Follow along for my most recent business updates HERE). Even though we both were in different seasons of life than we were when they had originally become my clients, I promised them that I would be there to document their wedding day through hell or high water!
This brings us to the present day. This past Saturday, I had the HUGE honor of being the wedding photographer for two of the most resilient people I have ever met. They now have been married twice! Once in 2020 and finally in front of ALL of their friends and family in 2022!
This wedding was extra special because their first born, (almost one years old already!) was able to attend and be a PART of the wedding party! He was such a good sport and even made multiple appearances on the dance floor!
The images from this day are nothing but spectacular, and it was by far one of the most emotional ceremonies (in the best way) I have ever had the privilege of documenting.
Here are some of the teasers from Scott and Taylor’s day in the California Central Valley, at Tuscan Gardens Venue in Kingsburg, California.
