FAST FORWARD
THE YEAR THAT I GOT MY FIRST CAMERA WAS MOMENTOUS FOR ME. I REMEMBER IT LIKE IT WAS YESTERDAY! MY GRANDPA ALWAYS SUPPORTED MY DREAMS AND HE BOUGHT ME MY FIRST DSLR CAMERA FOR MY BIRTHDAY.
THIS WAS THE CAMERA I WOULD SHOOT MY FIRST WEDDING ON, AND WHAT I WOULD TAKE WITH ME TO SHOOT MY FRIENDS SENIOR PORTRAITS in high school. SO MUCH TIME HAS PASSED SINCE THIS EARLY YEARS, BUT THE PASSION STILL HAS NOT LEFT!
2011 - Picked up the camera
I SHOT MY VERY FIRST WEDDING EVER FOR A FAMILY FRIEND, I WASN'T THE MAIN SHOOTER, BUT I REMEMBER THIS DAY VIVIDLY. I RECALL MY DAD DID THE WORM ON THE DANCE FLOOR AND I SHOT MY FIRST EVER SPARKLER EXIT!
I cannot believe just how far I've come and how much I have grown since this day! God is so good, and he knew exactly what he was doing when this opportunity presented itself.
2014 - Shot my first wedding
AFTER MY THEN BOYFRIEND, NOW-HUBBY CONVINCED ME I HAD WHAT IT TOOK TO BE A FULL TIME PHOTOG, I LEAPED HEAD FIRST INTO WEDDING WORK! I SHOT MY FIRST OFFICIAL WEDDING FOR A FRIEND. IN ALL HONESTY, I BEGGED HER TO NOT PAY ME, BUTTT SHE WAS PERSISTENT AND ENDED UP LOVING HER FINAL GALLERY.
I PROVED TO MYSELF THAT DAY THAT I COULD DO HARD THINGS AND THAT EVEN IF SOMETHING SCARED ME, IT WAS WORTH TRYING MY BEST AND TRUSTING THE PROCESS!
THAT IS A PHILOSOPHY I TAKE WITH ME ON EVERY SINGLE SESSION I'VE HAD SINCE.
2018 - Launched full time
into photography
On April 17th, 2021, I married my best friend!
My hubby and I did long distance before we got married, and it was so hard not being close to him for weeks on end. By 2021, we had been dating for 3 years and I knew I was ready to tie the knot!
February we decided we were going to make a wedding happen, and by God, we did it! 45 days of planning, and we managed to plan an entire wedding with all of our closest friends and family. IT was my dream wedding and I was so in love with how the day came to pass.
I am so blessed to have found vendors that I trusted, and who would become life long friends!

TATE IS OUR GOODEST GIRL. A 3 YEAR OLD HUSKY, COLLIE, LAB, AUSSIE MIX WHO HAS ENERGY FOR MILES. I ADOPTED HER A FEW SHORT MONTHS AFTER GOING FULL TIME AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER AND SHE HAS BEEN THERE THROUGH THE HIGHS AND LOWS.
I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE FUNNY TO NAME HER POTATO BECAUSE OF HOW CUTE SHE WAs AS A PUPPY, BUT SHE GOES BY TATE FOR SHORT WITH ALL HER CLOSETS BUDDIES!
